Rapid Action For African Farmers Against Food Insecurity, RAAFAFI
Rapid Action for African Farmers Against Food Insecurity, RAAFAFI is a developmental project that is design to provide state of the art training to farmers to aid best practice in other for the farmers to stay healthy, with advance farming methods and maintain social balance especially during this time of global economic melt down, provide access to input supplies (Seeds, Pesticide, Herbicide, and fertilizer), provide renewable energy facilities to aid temporary storage.
THE PROBLEM
i. Challenges supporting the provision of semimanual equipment to aid improved crops of local farmers.
ii. Safety of workers, particularly those in factory and farm settings where social distancing may prove challenging.
iii. Challenges supporting the provision of off-takers of farmer produces relief the farmers of the hassles of selling.
iv. More perceptible impact on the livestock sector; reports of reduced access to animal feed and diminished capacity of slaughterhouses (due to logistical constraints and labour shortages) in Africa.
v. Shortages of labour disrupt production and processing of food, notably for labor-intensive crops.
vi. Food supply chains disrupted; blockages to transport routes particularly obstructive for fresh food supply chains and may also result in increased levels of food loss and waste.
RAAFAFI SOLUTIONS
1. Provide state of the art farming sensitization to aid best practices in other for the farmers to stay healthy, Advanced.
farming methods, and maintain social distancing, especially during this COVID 19 pandemic.
2. Provide access to input supplies (Seeds, Pesticide, Herbicide, and fertilizer) with 5% ROI.
3. Provide renewable energy facilities to aid temporary storage.
4. Eventually, Sale this produces since we already have an existing database of offtakers and buyers on our platform.
5. We are already in partnership with several logistic companies in the country to aid easy distribution of this agro-commodities and supplies.
